The Gender at Work Community members came together to hear from leadership expert Dr Suze Wilson (Massey University) on misogyny in public spaces and the seven virtues of great leadership. Suze’s kōrero prompted plenty of discussion, with a confronting insight into the violent language that is freely used by a vocal minority, especially in online spaces. This was balanced with some powerful examples of women in leadership positions, embodying effective leadership, particularly with recent high-profile events, such as during the Covid-19 pandemic.
